6 TIPS ON HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR SMARTPHONE



The idea of every smart phone manufacturer is to serve the purpose for which it was manufactured i.e. for effective communication. But most times this purpose is defeated @ some point in its usage. This will help you understand your Smartphone better and make you maximise it use without regret of its purchase.
The following steps must be put into consideration if your smart phone will be properly and effectively used.



1.      BATTERY SHOULD BE FULLY CHARGED
It should be noted that phones perform at its peak when fully charged. Always avoid using your Smartphone until it s battery is completely drained of power. From a recent survey, most lithium-ion batteries last between three to five years when properly taken care of. It is also note worthy to know when to avoid using your phone at extreme temperature.

2.      ALWAYS MAKE SURE THAT UNUSED APPS ARE CLOSED
There is always s difference between a desktop computer and a cell phone. Because they don’t pocess the same process power. Most phones tend to run slow when the programs are running (open). It is therefore advisable to end background processes running on your cell phone.

3.      ALWAYS REMEMBER TO CLEAR BROWSER CACHE
Since Android phones have the capability of browsing, this can lead to build-up of data in the phones memory. This can prevent the phone from active performance as the browser cache memory will start clogging up the phone memory, thereby slowing down the phone’s ability to surf the web actively.
In order to clear the cache, do the following; click on menu→options→settings→clear cache. After this is done, the phone will prompt the user if to clear the cache. Once confirmed, the phone’s memory will be clear for easy surfing of the web.

4.      MAKE SURE THERE IS A MEMORY MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE ON YOUR CELL PHONE
This software can be downloaded and installed for free. Such programs can restore lost memory by defragmentation of the hard drive or  by performing a recovery task in order to get lost information. This helps most Android phones run faster.

5.      FACTORY RESET SHOULD BE PERFORMED
When your phone start giving you trouble, then it is time for system restoration. This will definitely delete all downloaded files on your phone. This can be done by following; Click Menu→Settings→Privacy→Factory Reset→Reset Phone.

6.      DELETE UNUSED PROGRAMS OR MEDIA
Android phones store so many information which may be in the form of videos, files, apps.

·         Deleting Media
Media files can be deleted by doing the following; Click on Gallery→Tapping the files and images to be deleted then click delete.
·         Deleting Program (Application)
Programs are deleted in order to free-up spaces in the memory. This is usually done by doing the following; click Menu→Application→Manage App→Download App→Uninstall App.
