Gionee set to unveil Elife S Plus Phablet in India

Gionee finally set to launch a 5.5 incher phablet codenamed “Gionee Elife S Plus”. However, the launch would take place in India. Hyping the device on Facebook fan page is part of the story and some folks over PhoneRadar managed to get their hands over some units and material of the device.


Specs-wise, the smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display which is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, though folks commented that the HD resolution isn’t that spectacular. The device is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 chipset coupled with an Octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM. The internal memory of the device is up to 16GB and has an option for MicroSD card up to 128GB.


Furthermore, the Gionee Elife S Plus features a 13MP primary camera on paired with a single-LED flash and a 5MP front shooter as the secondary camera. It also comes with a 3,150mAh battery capacity and USB Type-C at the bottom.


Gionee Elife S Plus is said to run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop from the box, with the company’s home grown Amingo OS which is located at the top. The smartphone also comes with cellular network with 4G LTE capability and dual-SIM functionality, and price listing is stated for INR 16,999 ($260).
