Out of about 4,100 employees working for twitter, it has been reported that 336 of them will be laid off. This represents about 8.2 percent of the company’s workforce.
This was made known to the world by Jack Dorsey who is currently serving as the company’s CEO for the second time.
This was made possible through an email sent to SEC.
Among those to be laid off are the engineers who will definitely be first set of people to be laid off.
Jack Dorsey decision came as a result of his new policy to down – side the workforce so as to deliver a more qualitative and quick response product.
Just few weeks back the company launched ‘MOMENTS’ a resent tab on the mobile app which is now the talk of town for casual users. This feature basically allows you scan through stories easily and quickly. This is the first of its kind.
